Women's Hoops Adds Another Signee in Anna Nevison

FAIRBANKS - The Alaska Nanooks women's basketball team has announced a signee for the upcoming 2023-24 season. Anna Nevison officially signed with the 'Nooks and will make the jump to Fairbanks following this season.

"We're so excited to add Anna to our Nanook family!" Said head coach Amy Donovan, "She's a great player, but an even better person. Anna and I have known each other for a few years, and she was one of the first people I thought of recruiting after getting the Alaska job. She's a combo guard with an extremely high basketball IQ who can score and assist at a high level. She's going to add a lot of depth to our ball-handling and scoring, while being able to stretch the floor with her shooting ability."

Nevison comes to Fairbanks by way of Halifax, United Kingdom. In her final year with her club team, Itchen Sixth Form College, the 5'9" shooting guard posted 17.8 points per game, 6.3 rebounds per game, 2.5 steals per game, 1.7 assists per game while shooting 43.8% from the field, 48.1% from three and held a 62.3 true shooting percentage.

Additional signees will be announced at later dates.
