FAIRBANKS - The Alaska Nanooks women's basketball team signed Khamryn Hopkins, a 5-5 guard out of Plano, Texas. Hopkins has big scorer potential after two big years at Lincoln Trail College.

Michael Ricks on Hopkins' signing. "She's a dynamic guard and proven scorer who brings speed, playmaking ability, and offensive firepower to our program. Khamryn has the ability to create for herself and others, and we're looking forward to the impact her competitiveness and experience will have on our team." Hopkins spent two seasons on the court for Lincoln Trail after graduating from Plano West Senior High School in Plano, Texas. In year one, 2024-25, she appeared in 14 games, making 11 starts. She posted 13.0 points per game her first year while adding 3.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 2.1 steals per game.
In her second season, she made big strides and averaged 17.5 points per game for LTC. She shot 35% from the floor in 25 games and 24 starts. On the year, Hopkins had 22 double-digit performances while posting six 20-point games and two 30-pieces, including a season-high 36 points on Dec. 9, 2025, in a 98-92 win over Lewis & Clark Community College. Her two 30-point games came back-to-back as her 32-point game came on Dec. 5. In her Dec. 5 game, she shot 12-24 from the floor, going 6-6 from the free-throw line. In the following game, she shot 15-27 from the floor and 5-7 from the charity stripe. She wrapped up her two-year career with 39 games played and 35 starts. In that time, she averaged 15.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.8 steals per game while shooting 35.1% from the floor.
After her sophomore season, she was named GRAC All-Conference and Region 24 All-Region.
"First, I would like to thank God for providing me this opportunity to continue my basketball and academic journey," said Hopkins after announcing her signing. "I'd like to thank my family for all of their support, and also my coaches and teammates that helped me along the way. I am excited and grateful to work with the staff at Alaska Fairbanks, and ready to get to work."
