ALASKA NANOOKS SPORTS INFORMATION
The Sports Information Office handles media relations requests for all 10 of Alaska's intercollegiate programs. The Sports Information Director coordinates interviews, conducts press conferences, produces all departmental publications, compiles statistics and maintains the official website of Alaska Nanooks Athletics, alaskananooks.com.
All interview requests must be pre-approved through the Alaska Nanooks Athletic Communications office. Call or email the Alaska Sports Information Director to schedule a time with a coach or player. Please contact the Sports Information Director at least 24 hours in advance to schedule interviews with student-athletes or coaches. Student-athletes are not available on game days until post-game. Alaska locker rooms are closed to media. Please contact the Alaska Nanooks SID to arrange post-game interviews.
Media may also request a pass for home basketball, hockey and volleyball games. Single-game media members who do not attend on a regular-basis will be placed along media row in the mezzanine on the west side of the Patty Center. Regular-basis media members will have a first-come, first-serve seat at the media table. Only two seats available.
Credentials are available only during hockey season, they do not grant access to Patty Center sports. Passes for traveling team admin are available upon request. Please provide more than 48 hours notice.
