FAIRBANKS, Alaska – On Thursday, the Alaska Nanooks Department of Athletics and St. Louis Blues defenseman Colton Parayko announced the creation of the Parayko Hockey Camp, which will be held in Fairbanks in late July.

The Parayko Hockey Camp is a four-day camp that will be held from Tuesday, July 17 through Friday, July 20 at the Patty Ice Arena located on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus. Parayko, a former Alaska Nanooks hockey captain, will lead the camp alongside former NCAA Division I and professional ice hockey players and members of the UAF hockey coaching staff.

"I'm really excited to be hosting my first-ever hockey camp back in Fairbanks," Parayko said. "Spending three years in Alaska and attending UAF was a huge part of my success throughout my hockey career. This is the perfect chance to give back to the Fairbanks hockey community and the Alaska Nanooks."

There will be three camps throughout the week, each based on age and open to boys and girls. Each camp will include four, one-hour on-ice sessions, a camp jersey, a camp t-shirt, a chance to win a signed St. Louis Blues Parayko jersey and a question and answer session for all campers.

Each age group will only feature 24 skaters and three goaltenders, so make sure to register before camps sell out!   

All registration and payment must be done online prior to the first day of camp on alaskananooks.com under "Fan Central" then "Parayko Hockey Camp."

The cost of the inaugural camp is $250 per player, with all the proceeds being donated to the Alaska Nanooks hockey team. The Parayko Hockey Camp will not accept cash, checks or walk-up registration.
