FAIRBANKS - The Alaska Nanooks women's basketball team has announced the signing of guard Chloe Parker. Parker, a 5'5" shooting guard, hails from Riverton, Kan., and joins the Blue and Gold from Neosho County Community College.Â
"We're excited to welcome Chloe to the Nanooks family," said head coach
Michael Ricks. "She's a tough, competitive guard who impacts the game on both ends of the floor. We love the enthusiasm she brings to everything she does."Â
Parker was a standout at Riverton High School before spending two seasons at Neosho County CC. During high school, she was a four-time All-CNC League selection, including a First Team selection as a senior, and a two-time All-State honoree. Alongside her basketball career, she was a four-year letter winner in football, succeeding as a wide receiver and cornerback. At Neosho County, she became one of the Panthers' most productive two-way guards.Â
Across two seasons, she played in 56 games, scoring 577 points while making 111 three-pointers, grabbing 232 rebounds, and picking up 125 steals. During her sophomore season in 2025-26, she averaged 11.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.1 steals per game while leading Neosho in scoring and steals. Parker earned KJCCC Division II Second Team All-Conference, KJCAA Region VI Runners-Up, and KJCAA Region VI All-Tournament Team honors. The Panthers produced a pair of 20-win seasons during Parker's time and a Region IV runner-up finish in 2025-26.Â
"I cannot wait to begin the next steps of my journey here in Fairbanks," said Parker after announcing her signing. "I'm excited to see what UAF holds for me and my future. I can't wait to get to work and start to build up something big! Go 'Nooks!"Â
