Luke LaMaster Signs with the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Luke LaMaster, former Nanooks defenseman, has signed with the Utah Grizzlies in the ECHL. Since signing, LaMaster has appeared in three games as of Thursday, Mar. 12.

"It is great to see Luke get an opportunity at the next level," said head coach Erik Largen. "He is someone who has dealt with a lot of adversity and now is getting a chance to prove what he can do. We are excited to see him at the next level."

LaMaster joined the Nanooks this season after spending the previous four seasons with the Wisconsin Badgers in the B1G. This year for the Nanooks he played the second-most games of his career and tallied a career-high in points. He skated in 27 games for Alaska and posted six points, all coming on assists. LaMaster also led the Nanooks with a +9 plus/minus rating and he had a two-game scoring streak, posting an assist in each game at Minnesota in the 11/29-11/30 series.
