FAIRBANKS - The Alaska Nanooks hockey team has picked up another transfer ahead of the 2026-27 season. Tyler Shea, a goalie, will call Fairbanks home this upcoming season after three years at Brown University and one season with the University of Michigan.

"Tyler brings experience, composure, and a proven ability to make saves at this level," said head coach Erik Largen. "He competes hard, tracks pucks well, and gives his team confidence with the way he handles pressure. We believe he will add stability and strong competition to our goaltending group." Shea spent two full seasons in the NAHL and one full season in the BCHL before heading to Michigan in 2022-23. He played in 56 games in the NAHL, all for the Austin Bruins.
