Last Time Out
The 'Nooks came into last week riding a two-game winning streak with wins at home against Saint Martin's and Western Oregon. Unfortunately that winning streak was snapped on Feb. 1 and 3 when they traveled to Western Washington and Simon Fraser. WWU grabbed the win over the Nanooks 72-55 before Simon Fraser knocked off the Nanooks as well, 83-68.

- The Nanooks grabbed the win over UAA the last time these two teams met in Fairbanks. That win was the first for Alaska over UAA since January 2007.
- Alaska Anchorage has taken the last two matchups since then, taking both games in Anchorage, including game one earlier this season, 84-55.
- Three student-athletes are in the top-100 for NCAA DII in certain categories. Emma McKenney is currently 40th in the nation for free-throw percentage; she is shooting 85.3% from the line. That is good for third in the GNAC.
- Both Ellen Silva and Emma Wass are in the top-100 in respective rebounding categories. For Silva, she is 86th in rebounds per game with 8.1 - that is fourth in the GNAC. She is also 84th in total rebounds with 171, good for fifth in the conference.
- Wass appears in the top-100 in three categories. She is currently 35th in the nation in total rebounds with 200, good for third in the GNAC. She is grabbing 9.5 rebounds per game, good for 29th in the nation and first in the GNAC. She is also first in the GNAC in defensive rebounds per game with 7.9. That is good for sixth in the NCAA Division II rankings.
- As a team, the Nanooks are 46th in the nation with 40.76 rebounds per game - that is the top total in the conference.
- They are also the top in the conference for defensive rebounds per game with 29.5, 16th in the nation.

Regional/National Polls
In the latest polls that came out on Feb. 6, 2024, the GNAC saw four teams get ranked or receive votes. In the D2CSC West Region Top-10, Montana State Billings is the top-GNAC team, coming in at No. 2 with 44 points. Western Washington follows at No. 3 with 41 points and Alaska Anchorage rounds out the ranked teams with a No. 9 ranking and 14 points. Central Washington received one vote. In the D2CSC Top-25, only MSUB and WWU made appearances. MSUB currently sits at No. 17 and WWU comes in at No. 23.
In the WBCA Poll, Montana State Billings is ranked No. 14 and Western Washington is No. 19.
What's to Come
The Nanooks will stay home following this weekend's one game. They'll bring in Central Washington and Northwest Nazarene next Thursday and Saturday before hitting the road one final time on Feb. 22 and 24. They'll head to Western Oregon and Saint Martin's before coming home for their final weekend of the regular-season. They'll face MSUB on Feb. 29 and SPU on March 2.
