Parayko Selected to Team Canada for Upcoming 4 Nations Face-Off

The blueliner played for the Nanooks from 2012-15 and has spent the entirety of his career with the St. Louis Blues of the NHL.

FAIRBANKS - Former Nanooks defenseman Colton Parayko was selected to Team Canada for the upcoming 2025 4 Nations Face-Off.

The Face-Off is set for February 12-20 in Boston and Montreal and can be seen on TNT, ESPN, and ABC in the United States and Sportsnet and TVA in Canada. For more information, visit NHL.com.

Parayko is one of 23 former NCAA student-athletes named to one of the four nations competing in the 4 Nations Face-Off. 18 former athletes were named to the United States, and three, including Parayko, were named to Team Canada. Finland and Sweden both landed one representative as well. Parayko, a 6-6, 229-pound defenseman for the St. Louis Blues played for the Nanooks from 2012-15. In his three seasons with the 'Nooks, he skated in 104 games, scoring 17 goals and tallying 49 assists for 66 points (0.63/game). Alongside that, he was named Alternate Captain, the 2013-14 WCHA Defensive Player of the Year, a WCHA First All-Star Team selection, and an NCAA West Second All-American Team selection (7g-19a—26p). In 2014-15, his final year with the Nanooks, he was named Captain, won his second-straight WCHA Defensive Player of the Year award, was a WCHA First All-Star Team selection, and once again, was named to the NCAA West Second All-American Team (6g-17a—23p). He has represented Team Canada at three World Championships.

This will be his first time representing Canada in the 4 Nations Face-Off. In 10 seasons in the NHL, Parayko has skated in 685 games, scoring 65 goals and dishing out 206 assists for 271 career points.
