Pearle Green Returns to Alaska as Final Addition to 2025-26 Roster

FAIRBANKS - The Alaska Nanooks women's basketball team has announced the addition of former Nanook Pearle Green to the roster. She rejoins the Nanooks after two seasons at Regis University in Denver.

"We're excited to welcome Pearle back to the Nanook family," said head coach Michael Ricks. "She's a dynamic guard who knows what it means to wear the Nanook jersey. Pearle's toughness, energy, and versatility will make a big impact, and we're looking forward to seeing her back on the court representing our program."

Green spent the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons at Alaska, but did not play during her second season. During her first season, she scored 267 points to average 14.8 points per game, the most by a freshman in the GNAC for the 2021-22 season. She shot 39% from the field and 33.5% from three. On Feb. 5, 2022, she scored a career-high 29 points against Northwest Nazarene, going 11-27 from the field and hitting six three-pointers. Her freshman season earned her GNAC All-Conference Honorable Mention honors.

In two seasons with the Regis Rangers, Green averaged two points and one rebound in 21 games. She collected six assists and six steals.

"Coming back home has been bittersweet," said Green, "but the moment I touched down, I knew I made the right decision for myself. I'm incredibly grateful to Coach Ricks for giving me another shot. Enaa Baasee'. Let's go, Nooks!"

Green is the last addition to the 2025-26 women's basketball roster.
