"We've built a schedule that will challenge us right from the start, with strong non-conference opponents leading into an always competitive GNAC slate," said Ricks. "Opening with an exhibition at Oregon State will be an incredible early test, and hosting the North Star Invitational will give our fans a great first look at this team. Trips to Utah, Minnesota, and California will test our toughness and set the tone heading into the heart of conference play."
The 'Nooks kick off their season with an exhibition contest in Corvallis, Ore., facing off against the Oregon State Beavers on Nov. 2. After a weekend off, the Nanooks are back in action with the North Star Invitational Presented by Mt. McKinley Bank, set to run from Nov. 14-16. The participants for the invitational will be announced shortly.
Following the invitational, Alaska will be on the road for the remainder of 2025, with its first regular season road games scheduled for Nov. 21-22 at the Westminster Tournament in Salt Lake City. Game one will feature the Nanooks taking on the hosts, Westminster University, and they will wrap up the tournament against Colorado Mesa. Games at Minnesota State Moorhead and St. Cloud State follow over Thanksgiving weekend on Nov. 28-29, and the Nanooks kick off their GNAC schedule on Thursday, Dec. 4, at Western Oregon. They play one more GNAC game at Saint Martin's that Saturday before traveling to California for a pair of contests to close out 2025. Alaska will take on Azusa Pacific on Dec. 18 and Biola on Dec. 20 before taking a two-week break.
The Nanooks begin 2026 at home for two games against Central Washington and Northwest Nazarene on Jan. 1 and 3 before embarking on a three-game road trip. Alaska first travels south to Anchorage for a rivalry showdown against the UAA Seawolves on Jan. 10. It continues the set of road games the next week at Western Washington (Jan. 15) and Simon Fraser (Jan. 17).
On Jan. 22 and 24, the Nanooks welcome Montana State Billings and Seattle Pacific to the Alaska Airlines Gymnasium for a pair of games and head back out on the road the following week with contests at Northwest Nazarene (Jan. 29) and Central Washington (Jan. 31). The Blue & Gold then return home for three games, beginning with a matchup against Alaska Anchorage on Saturday, Feb. 7, for their only game that week. Home contests against Simon Fraser (Feb. 12) and Western Washington (Feb. 14) follow, and the 'Nooks play their final regular season road games on Feb. 19-21 at Seattle Pacific and Montana State Billings. The regular season ends at home, with Alaska hosting Saint Martin's on Feb. 26 and Western Oregon on Feb. 28.
