The Nanooks dropped their two contests last week, falling to Western Washington 37-67 and Simon Fraser 80-99.
Alaska established an early 10-4 lead against the Vikings, but an 11-2 WWU run saw the visitors hold a 15-12 advantage after one. From there, the Nanooks could not retake the lead and fell to Western Washington. Destiny Reimers paced the squad with 12 points on the evening, going 5-of-17 from the floor. She grabbed four rebounds and tallied two steals. Taylor Pilot tied for the team lead in rebounds (five) and assists (two) while posting six points. Amelia Brady went 2-of-3 from the floor, grabbing five boards and swiping three steals. Miranda Lomax posted two assists, tying her with Pilot for the team lead. Alaska shot 25.4% from the floor and 20% from beyond the arc during the contest, while collecting 31 rebounds compared to WWU's 45.
The Nanooks held a 49-48 lead midway through the third quarter, but SFU logged a 14-2 run to put the game out of reach. Lomax tallied a team-high 20 points on 6-of-15 shooting. She went 3-of-8 from three and 5-of-6 from the line, while notching two steals and two assists. Reimers picked up the double-double, finishing with 15 points and 11 rebounds. She also led the team with five assists and four steals. Jayda Van Dyke was the final Nanook to post double-digit points, ending the contest with 12 on 4-of-5 shooting. She added a team-high two blocks and grabbed five rebounds. Alaska shot 45.8% from the floor and 33.3% from deep. The Blue & Gold posted a 41-36 rebound advantage in the game. The Nanooks led in second-chance points (12-8) and bench points (31-19) but trailed in points off turnovers (33-15) and points in the paint (42-40).

The Yellowjackets enter the week second in the GNAC standings. However, after starting 5-0 in conference play, they dropped their previous two contests against Northwest Nazarene (69-75) and Central Washington (45-48).
Their leading scorer this season is senior forward Dyauni Boyce, who's 15.1 points per game puts her seventh in the conference. Her 38.1% three-point percentage ranks eighth in the GNAC and 46th in the nation.
MSUB has allowed the lowest three-point percentage in the GNAC this season, with opponents shooting at a 27.1% clip from deep. They have surrendered the fewest fouls per game in the conference at 14.9.
Seattle Pacific 6-14, 0-7 GNAC

After winning four in a row from Dec. 14 to Dec. 21, the Falcons have fallen in their last five contests. Last week, they fell to Central Washington 65-88 before dropping an 84-88 decision at Northwest Nazarene.
They are led by senior guard Hunter Beirne, who is averaging the 11th-most points per game in the GNAC with 13.3. Her 46.2% field goal percentage puts her fourth in the conference, while her 3.5 assists per game ranks 10th.
SPU is the top blocking team in the GNAC, averaging 4.5 rejections per game. That mark is good for 17th in Division II.
