TACOMA, Wash. - The Alaska Nanooks swim team is set to compete in the Logger Invitational hosted by the University of Puget Sound. The three-day meet will feature five other teams alongside Alaska.

Last Time Out
The Nanooks are back in the pool after nearly three weeks off. The last time they saw action, they won two dual meet wins against PCSC opponent Fresno Pacific on November 1-2. Alaska won 10 of the 11 events on both days against the Sunbirds, taking the first dual meet by a final of 145-59 before winning the second 147-57. Dorka Dancsok led the Nanooks with four first-place finishes over the two dual meets. She took first in the 400-yard IM (4:52.25), 200-yard breaststroke (2:30.02), 200-yard IM (2:12.12) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:07.73).

- Tori Shoemaker ranks 18th in the nation for the 1,650 freestyle. She holds a time of 18:17.15Â
- Payton Wojciechowicz follows right behind in 24th for the 1,650 freestyle at 18:24.71.
- Shoemaker and Wojciechowicz rank eighth and 12th in the PCSC for the 1,000 freestyle, posting times of 11:03.51 and 11:10.85.
- Charlotte Fletcher-Stables sits eighth in the conference for the 50 backstroke with a time of 27.50. She also ranks ninth in the PCSC for the 100 backstroke with a 59.15.
- Fletcher-Stables' time of 2:11.59 in the 200 backstroke puts her ninth in the conference, while Jordan O'Connor is 11th at 2:13.08.
- Dorka Dancsok ranks fifth in the PCSC for the 100 breaststroke at 1:07.73. She is also fifth in the 200 IM with a 2:12.12 and eighth in the 200 breaststroke with a 2:30.02.
- Cosima Schmiedel sits in the top 10 in the conference in the 100 butterfly, as her 1:00.19 is good for ninth.
- The relay team of Fletcher-Stables, Dancsok, Schmiedel and Sam Bristor currently sits second in the PCSC and fifth in the nation for the 400 medley relay, finishing in 3:59.53.
- The Nanooks took second place in the Logger Invitational last season, finishing with 650.5 points. Simon Fraser placed first in the competition with 1,110.5 points.
What's to Come
This is Alaska's last meet of 2024; it returns to action on January 17-18 with a pair of home dual meets against Westmont.
