EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Dorka Dancsok concluded her season this at the NCAA DII Swimming and Diving Championships at the Deaconess Aquatic Center in Evansville, Ind. The junior ended the week with a Second Team All-American honor in the 400-yard IM and two more top-30 finishes in the 200-yard IM and 200-yard breaststroke.
The first Nanook to qualify for the NCAA Championships since 2023-24, Dancsok began her time in Evansville by swimming in the 200-yard IM on Wednesday, where she swam to a 25th-place finish, improving on her seed of 27th entering the week. She posted a 2:04.89 in the prelims of the event. The junior followed that up with the highlight of the week on Thursday, advancing to the consolation final of the 400-yard IM after posting a 4:25.09 in the prelims. She finished 16th in the finals, swimming to a time of 4:27.77 to become the first Nanook to earn All-American honors since Oda Bygdnes did so in 2019.
On Friday, Dancsok swam in the 100-yard breaststroke, where she placed 34th with a prelims time of 1:05.14, and she wrapped up the NCAA Championships with a 29th-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke, logging a 2:19.90 in her prelim race. That also improved on her seed of 36th in the event.
