FAIRBANKS – The Alaska Nanooks swimming team was selected as a Spring 2026 Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for their academic success during the Spring 2026 semester.
The Nanooks secured the honor by posting a 3.40 team grade point average during the spring 2026 semester. To qualify, teams must post a grade point average of at least 3.00.
In total, 714 teams from 418 institutions were selected as Scholar All-America Teams for their outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester. Collectively, these teams represent 16,680 student-athletes from across all collegiate divisions.
In addition to its success in the classroom, the Nanooks swimming team had plenty to celebrate in the pool last season. The 'Nooks took fifth in the PCSC Championships with 751 points, recording five medals, four NCAA B Cuts and three record-setting swims, and sent their first swimmer to the NCAA Championships since 2023-24 in Dorka Dancsok. They also placed four student-athletes on the CSC Academic All-District Team.
