Pride Night/Girls and Women in Sports Day
Wear your rainbow gear for Thursday night's Pride Night! On Saturday, the Nanooks will be celebrating Girls and Women in Sports Day by letting in all girls and women who wear their sports uniform/gear. Anyone who comes will get them and their group or family in for free!

Last Time Out
The Nanooks have been on the road since Jan. 13. Last week saw them travel to Nampa, Idaho for a matchup with the Northwest Nazarene Nighthawks and Ellensburg, Wash. for a matchup with the Central Washington Wildcats. Against NNU the Nanooks fell 76-56 and at CWU, Alaska fell 64-47. Alaska has now dropped seven-straight games and are on the hunt for their first GNAC win this season.

- After missing the last seven games, Destiny Reimers returned to the Nanooks' lineup. She has played and started in nine games this season and is averaging 10.2 points per game to lead the 'Nooks.
- Emma McKenney and Kayla Johnson follow behind with 9.6 and 9.5 points per game, respectively.
- Emma Wass and Ellen Silva also follow behind as both are averaging 7+ points and rebounds per game with Wass averaging 8.3 points and 9.4 rebounds while Silva is averaging 7.2 points and 7.8 boards per game. Both have played and started in all 17 games this season.
- Anna Nevison has continued her sharpshooting from deep as the freshman is 14-41 (34.1%) from three to lead the 'Nooks. Only Emma McKenney has made more threes as the senior has 24 made shots.
- Wass leads the 'Nooks in field goal percentage, shooting 44.1% from the floor. Silva follows with a 44% field goal percentage.
- McKenney holds the team lead in assists with 43. Reimers follows with 26. Kayla Johnson and Jayda Van Dyke lead the 'Nooks in steals as Johnson has the team-high with 17 and Van Dyke has 15. Three other Nanooks are in double-digits as the 'Nooks have 90 steals on the season.
- Alaska is averaging +.4 more rebounds per game than their opponents. They are grabbing 39.7 rebounds per game with 675 total boards.
- Wass is 32nd in the nation with her 159 total rebounds. Silva is 95th with her 133 total. Wass is also ninth in the nation with 7.6 defensive rebounds per game and 37th with her 9.4 total rebounds per game.

What's to Come
The Nanooks will officially enter the second-half of the GNAC season following their two games at home this week. Following their home games, they'll hit the road and be in Bellingham, Wash. and Burnaby, B.C. for Feb. 1 and 3 games at Western Washington and Simon Fraser. They'll then return home for a three-game homestand beginning on Feb. 10 with Alaska Anchorage. They'll then welcome Central Washington and Northwest Nazarene to town on Feb. 15/17 before hitting the road for the final time this season.
