LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Nanooks swim team wrapped up day two at the PCSC Championships in eighth-place with 188 points through two days.
The Nanooks sent a team to the 200-yard freestyle relay;
Adeline Berry,
Lainey Lioi,
Ali Pecore and
Sophia Ruppert swam to an eighth-place finish with a time of 1:39.63. Lioi started the relay off with a time of 25.09 followed by Ruppert's 25.00. Berry posted a time of 25.34 and Pecore was the anchor, posting a time of 24.20 to finish the relay for Alaska. Pecore made it to the 500-yard freestyle and followed up with a 16
th-place finish and time of 5:19.82, earning the 'Nooks 12 team points.
Sophia Ruppert grabbed a 15
th-place finish in the 200-yard IM, picking up 13 points for the 'Nooks. Ruppert finished with a time of 2:11.56.
The Nanooks finished day two in eighth with 188 team points. Pepperdine currently sits in first for the PCSC Championships with 642.5 points. Alaska is back in the pool tomorrow morning with prelims beginning at 8:30 a.m. AKT. Day three will consist of the 100-yard butterfly, 400-yard medley, 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard breaststroke, 100-yard backstroke and the 400-yard medley relay. Finals will begin at 4:00 p.m. AKT.
