Last Time Out
This is the Nanooks first meet since the La Verne Invite on Nov. 18-20, 2022 at East Los Angeles College. The 'Nooks finished the Invite 10th with 295 team points. After day one, they earned 73 points before jumping to 164 on day two and 295 on the final day. The final day was highlighted by Sophia Ruppert's historic day in the pool. She posted a second-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:05.03, setting a new 200-yard butterfly program-record. Her time also gave her an NCAA B-cut time.
During the La Verne Invite the Nanooks saw 70 season-best times broken, 22 lifetime bests set, one school record and B-cut time.

- Westmont comes to town for a pair of dual-meets after taking both meets earlier in the season.
- On Oct. 28-29, 2022, Westmont grabbed a 97-94 victory on day one and followed that up with a 104-99 win on day two.
- The Nanooks are currently 0-4 on the season in dual-meets. Before Westmont in late October 2022, they fell to Azusa Pacific 133-66 and 125-76 on Oct. 21-22, 2022.
- Alaska is 4-2 in head-to-head meets with Westmont. They won the first four meetings before dropping the last two.
- They defeated Westmont last season on Oct. 29-30, 2021 in Santa Barbara, Calif., a year after defeating the Warriors twice in the 2020-21 season.
- This will be the first trip to Fairbanks for the Westmont swim team.
Senior Day
On Saturday, Jan. 21, the Nanooks will celebrate three seniors. Camille Dayton, Kyleigh McArthur and Caroline McCormick will celebrate their final weekend in the Patty Center Pool before heading to the Pacific Coast Swimming and Diving Conference Championships.
What's to Come
After this weekend, the Nanooks will head back to East Los Angeles, Calif. from Feb. 8-11 for the PCSC Championships. After that, any qualifiers will head to the NCAA Division II Swim and Dive Championships in Indianapolis, Ind.. IUPUI will host the 2023 Championships.
