PORTLAND, Ore. – The Great Northwest Athletic Conference announced their GNAC Women's Basketball All-Academic Team, presented by Barnes and Noble College. To qualify for the GNAC All-Academic Teams, nominees must be of sophomore eligibility or greater, have a minimum cumulative GPA or 3.20 or greater, be a letterwinner on their team and must be in their second year at the nominating institution.

The Nanook women's basketball team had five representatives for 2020-21 as
Alanna Conwell,
Olivia Kraska,
Zosha Krupa,
Markie Miller and
Caitlin Pusich all added a career-accolade to their resumes.Â

Conwell, a 5'10" guard from Kotzebue, Alaska, was a freshman a year ago for the 'Nooks, appearing in 23 games. As a general studies major through her first two years in Fairbanks, Conwell has maintained a 3.29 cumulative GPA.
Olivia Kraska was the second selection from the women's basketball team. In her time as a Nanook, Kraska has maintained a 3.66 cumulative GPA while working towards a degree in sciences. She saw time in 23 games a year ago, scoring 50 points and grabbing 56 rebounds.

Third on the list is Krupa. A resident of Sitka, Alaska, Krupa is studying fisheries at UAF. She is entering her senior season after transferring from North Idaho College. Krupa saw time in 29 games in 2019-20, scoring 81 points and picking up 26 steals along the way. Off the court, she has maintained a 3.65 cumulative GPA.

Markie Miller and
Caitlin Pusich round out the list for the Nanooks. Miller, an elementary education major as well as a two-sport athlete (volleyball), enters her senior season having maintained a 3.39 cumulative GPA. Miller is in her second stint with the women's basketball team and saw time in 11 games a year ago. Pusich, a sophomore from Juneau, Alaska, grabbed the top-GPA in the group. A communications major, Pusich has maintained a 3.88 cumulative GPA as she closes out her second year in Fairbanks.Â
