Last Time Out
The 'Nooks are coming off a two-game losing streak from games on the road at CWU and NNU. Alaska has really struggled on the road this season going 0-6 and dropping two more last week losing 69-91 to Central Washington and 72-93 to Northwest Nazarene.

The first game started off slow for the 'Nooks, allowing a 0-8 run to start the game, pulled back to 10-16, but allowed a 2-7 run to end the first quarter with the score 12-23. Jocelyn Gandara led Alaska with 24 points in the first half with nine rebounds. Alaska allowed 50 first half points and finished the half down 29-50.
The Nanooks cut the lead to 11 early in the third quarter but were unable to gain much more ground and finished the quarter down 58-71. The fourth quarter showed the 'Nooks chances slip away when they scored only 11 points in the quarter and allowed 20, giving the win to Central 69-91. Jocelyn Gandara finished with a game high 33 points with nine rebounds and three assists.

Game two started decently for Alaska but fell apart a bit by the end of the quarter with a score of 14-29. The Nanooks were able to cut the lead to eight with only about four minutes in the first half but turned the ball over and missed some key shots to enter the half down 31-47. Jocelyn Gandara scored 13 in the first half and added five rebounds and three steals for a good first half performance.

The third quarter was a high scoring one for both teams with the Nanooks scoring 22, but the Nighthawks were able to score 33 and add to their lead and Alaska entered the fourth down 53-80. The final quarter showed the 'Nooks pick up their defense, only allowing 13 points. Alaska scored 19 of their own to close the gap, but ultimately were unable to mount a comeback. Sam Tolliver scored 14 second half points to finish with 17. Jocelyn Gandara finished with 18 points, nine rebounds, and 3 steals to lead the team.
