The Nanooks have announced that their Saturday, Jan. 25 game against the Wildcats has been pushed ahead two hours to 5:07 p.m. AKT due to conflicting schedules with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs. We encourage you to come out and support local hockey in Fairbanks by barn hopping from the Carlson Center to the Big Dipper.
WCHA Honors
Steven Jandric was named this week's WCHA Forward of the Week following his four point performance against Ferris State. Those four points led the way in the WCHA for total points scored on the weekend and was Jandric's first WCHA nomination since his freshman year when he won Rookie of the Week once. This is also the Nanooks third time winning a WCHA award this season.
All-Time Series
The Wildcats lead the all-time series against the 'Nooks 14-43-12. The Nanooks have found some success at home, however, trailing only 9-17-5. The first meeting of the two teams came in 1989 with Northern Michigan winning 6-8.
