Fairbanks, Alaska – The Alaska Nanooks Women's Basketball Team will be on the road this weekend, heading down to Anchorage to play in the Seawolf Hoops Classic. Their first game is against the Westminster College Griffins on Nov. 22, then face the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Rangers on Nov. 23. Tip-off for the Westminster game is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. AKST and 1 p.m. AKST for the Parkside game.

If fans aren't able to make this week's games in Anchorage, all home and conference contests for the remainder of the season will be broadcast live through the Alaska Nanooks Stretch Internet Portal in the link posted above. Please be advised that when on the road, the broadcast is produced by the home school and not the Alaska Nanooks Department of Athletics.
Last Time Out
The Alaska Nanooks women's basketball team is coming off of a two-loss road trip in Southern California. In game one, they fell to Biola University 53-61. In game two, they ran into a tough Point Loma squad and dropped the final game of their road trip, 58-88.
All-Time Series
This will be the first ever meeting between the Nanooks and the Griffins in women's basketball.
Alaska is undefeated against Parkside in the all-time series 1-0. The first and only meeting of the two teams resulted in an 88-77 win for the Nanooks on Nov. 27, 2015.
Scouting the Opponent – Westminster
Westminster is currently undefeated at 4-0, with their last win coming against Northwest Nazarene University 72-64 on Nov. 16. They are currently averaging 70.3 points per game and holding opponents to an average of 62.5 points per game. Their leading scorer, Sarah McGinley, is averaging 18 points per game.
Scouting the Opponent – Parkside
The Rangers are currently 2-2 with their last game resulting in a loss again Minnesota Duluth 65-81 on Nov 17. They are currently averaging 76.8 points per game with their leading scorer, Taylor Stephen, averaging 14.8 points per game.
