Fordham Wins Again, Moosmayer and Dohlby Earn All-American in NCAA Championship 20k Freestyle

MIDWAY, Utah - The Nanooks Nordic skiing team had a day to remember on Saturday as they concluded their 2026 season, with Rosie Fordham grabbing another win, and Ben Dohlby and Philipp Moosmayer securing All-American placements in their final race of the season. The Nanooks finished fourth in the 20k freestyle mass start with 112 points and earned 205.5 points over their four races at the NCAA Championships, finishing third in the Nordic standings.

"Absolutely incredible day - the one we've been dreaming of all season!" said interim head coach Ben Buck. "The skis were fast, and the athletes were faster."

The morning began with the women's race, where Fordham looked to add another national title after her first-place finish in the 7.5k classic on Thursday. In her final race with the 'Nooks, she once again ran away with the win, finishing 27.8 seconds ahead of the pack after crossing the finish line in 51:54.6. Viktorie Kahounova was the other skier to start for the 'Nooks in the women's freestyle, but did not finish the race.

The women finished sixth in the freestyle, notching 40 points. This gave them 92 points over their two races at NCAAs, which was good for fifth in the nation. Vermont won the women's 20k freestyle with 77 points.

The men's race proved to be much closer, as the top five were separated by less than eight seconds. Dohlby led the way for the 'Nooks with a fifth-place finish, posting a time of 46:22.0, which put him 0.3 seconds from a spot on the podium. With his fifth-place result, he notched All-American First Team honors for the second time in his collegiate career. Moosmayer followed closely behind, placing seventh with a 46:23.9 to give him All-American Second Team accolades. Blake Hanley was the final Nanook to finish, logging a time of 46:53.9 to take 13th place. Utah's Mons Melbye claimed the victory.

The men finished first in the nation with 72 points on the day, putting them one point ahead of Utah in second. They took third in the Nordic standings at the NCAA Championships, posting 113.5 points.

Utah took both the Nordic and national title, finishing with 549.5 total points, 307.5 of which came in the Nordic races.
