Last Time Out
The Nanooks swept Alaska Anchorage on the road last weekend at the Sullivan Arena. Alaska picked up a 4-3 victory on night one, using a goal with three seconds left from Braden Birnie to pick up the regulation win and put themselves within striking distance of claiming the cup for a 15th-straight time. That exact thing happened on night two as the Nanooks ran away with a big 6-2 win to move the season series to 4-1-1 and hold a 14-4 points lead in the chase for the cup.

The Cup Stays
Saturday night will officially be the Alaska Airlines Governor's Cup celebration. Following Saturday's game, the Nanooks and Seawolves will line up and celebrate another great season of competition. Alaska officially claimed the 31st edition of the Alaska Airlines Governor's Cup and now holds a 23-8 edge over UAA in the all-time cup standings. This is the 15th year in a row the 'Nooks have held the cup.
