The Nanooks trailed for most of the game against the Nighthawks, briefly leading 6-5 early in the contest thanks to a Mike Miller layup and a Tyriq Luke three, but fell behind after a 9-0 NNU run. The Nanooks trailed 39-30 at the halftime break, and could not get back in front in the second half. Mike Miller led the 'Nooks with 20 points during the contest, going 7-15 from the field. In Saturday's game vs. the Wildcats, the Nanooks opened up a double-digit lead within the first five minutes of action, with Luke, Miller and Davis Crilly all connecting from deep. However, the Wildcats would storm back with a 10-0 run, cutting Alaska's lead down to just one with 11:12 left in the first. CWU took the lead at the 8:53 mark, going up 24-23. Both sides traded the lead five times over the remainder of the half, but the Nanooks used baskets from Jalai O'Keith and Luke to give themselves a 44-41 advantage heading into the locker room. The Wildcats would come back in the second, posting a 14-2 run to take a 65-61 lead, but the 'Nooks got back in front thanks to a Miller jumper. CWU kept it close, but an O'Keith three with 1:23 remaining gave the 'Nooks a six-point advantage that they held for the remainder of the game. The Nanooks had four players finish in double figures, with Crilly (20 pts), O'Keith (18 pts), Miller (13 pts) and Luke (13 pts) leading the way.
