100 Years of Nanooks Hockey Documentary Screening Tomorrow in Patty Center

FAIRBANKS – To celebrate 100 years of Nanooks Hockey, the Department of Athletics invites fans, students, alumni, and the Fairbanks community to a special public viewing of the feature documentary In the Trenches: 100 Years of Alaska Hockey, tomorrow, inside the Alaska Airlines Gymnasium at the Patty Center.

This free event will highlight the storied legacy of Alaska's flagship college hockey program with an exclusive showing of the full-length documentary. Doors open at 4 p.m., with fans encouraged to arrive early for a preview of the team's brand-new throwback jerseys, a meet-and-greet with members of the 2025-26 Nanooks hockey team, and a poster signing session beginning at 4:15 p.m.

The official documentary screening will begin at 5 p.m. inside the Alaska Airlines Gymnasium, followed by a Q&A with members of the Nanooks coaching staff at 6 p.m.

To cap off the evening, fans are invited next door to the Patty Ice Arena for the annual Blue-Gold Scrimmage, which will begin at 7 p.m. and offer a first look at the new season's roster in action.

For those unable to attend the public viewing before the Blue-Gold Scrimmage, the documentary will premiere on KTVF Sunday, Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. (after Sunday Night Football) and will be shown again on the Alaska Nanooks YouTube channel on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 7:07 p.m. before becoming available on-demand.
