Kendall Kramer Ends Illustrious Collegiate Career as National Champion

The Nanooks earned three more All-American honors in the 20k freestyle and the team finished fifth in the Nordic standings with 176 points.

HANOVER, N.H. - In her last collegiate race, Kendall Kramer waved the Nanooks' flag across the finish line as she claimed victory in the 20k freestyle mass start at the 2025 NCAA Ski Championships. She finished over 30 seconds ahead of Utah's Erica Laven in second place and over 45 seconds in front of Colorado's Tilde Baangman in third, leaving little doubt in the final race of the 2025 NCAA Skiing Championships.

Ben Dohlby and Philipp Moosmayer also earned All-American honors, garnering First and Second Team accolades to give the Nanooks five All-American finishes at this season's championships.

The day kicked off with the men's 20k freestyle, which saw Dohlby earn his first career All-American result with a fourth-place finish. He was in 10th after two laps, but only 2.5 seconds outside the top five. He quickly climbed through the field, jumping five places in the following lap and sitting fifth at the halfway mark. He eventually made his way up to fourth on the fifth lap and used the fastest time on the final lap to build a nine-second cushion between him and Middlebury's Logan Moore in fifth, crossing the finish line in 45:40.0.

Moosmayer joined his teammate in the top 10, collecting his second All-American finish of the season after placing ninth. He sat in sixth after the first 10k but dropped to eighth on the fourth lap. He maintained his spot in eighth after the following lap but ended the race in ninth. Moosmayer finished in 46:07.0, one second in front of Utah's Zachary Jayne in 10th, but was just six seconds off of seventh.

Cole Flowers rounded things off on the men's side, finishing in 27th place with a time of 48:53.0.

Kramer began her race skiing alongside Utah's Erica Laven, Colorado's Tilde Baangman and Denver's Lea Wenaas in a group at the front of the pack, with the four of them within six seconds of each other at the 10k checkpoint. Kramer and Laven eventually broke away, and for part of the race, it was just the two of them at the front of the field. However, Kramer picked up the pace, building a comfortable lead over Laven in the final stages of the race and eventually finishing 36 seconds ahead of the Utah skier. She completed the 20k in 50:14.0, ending her illustrious collegiate career with a national title.

Tabitha Williams was the last Nanook to finish, placing 21st in the women's 20k freestyle. After ending the first lap tied for 24th, she jumped up the pack, sitting in 18th after the first 6.7k. However, she fell back to 20th on the third lap and ended the race just outside the top 20 with a time of 54:22.0.

The Nanooks ended the NCAA Championships fifth in the Nordic standings with 176 points, with the men and women both ranking sixth with 92 and 84 points, respectively.

Utah grabbed the national title, with Colorado taking second and host school Dartmouth finishing third.
