WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Nanooks rifle team (5-0, 3-0 PRC) earned a 4724-4676 victory on Saturday morning at No. 17-ranked Army (3-6, 0-2 GARC).
Alaska posted their second-best aggregate score of the season on Nov. 22 to earn the win. They outshot them in both disciplines, taking smallbore 2343-2328 and air rifle 2381-2348.
Lucie Kissenberger fired the top individual aggregate score this morning, posting an 1187-88x. She led the four Nanooks in the top five individual finishes.
Teagan Perkowski followed in second with an aggregate score of 1179-79x.
Marshall Schmidt placed third with an 1179-77x, and
Noah Meierotto took fourth with an 1177-69x. Army claimed the fifth and sixth spots in the individual standings before the final three Nanooks in seventh, ninth, and 10th.
Julianna Hays took seventh with an 1171-68x,
Tobias Bernhoft-Osa took ninth with an 1166-69x, and
Sadie Palfrey placed 10th with an 1161-63x.
In the smallbore discipline, the Nanooks took six of the top seven individual placements. Kissenberger fired the top score in smallbore, shooting a 591-39x. Schmidt followed in third with a 586-28x, and
Amanda Pettersen placed fourth with a 584-32x. Hays, Perkowski, and Meierotto were the next three Nanooks in the smallbore standings, taking fifth, sixth, and seventh with scores of 584-27x, 582-26x, and 582-26x, respectively.
Sadie Palfrey was the final Nanooks shooter in the top 10, placing 10th with a 580-27x.
Tobias Bernhoft-Osa and
Matthew Stout were the final Nanooks in smallbore with scores of 576-25x and 568-23x.
In air rifle, the Nanooks outshot Army by 23 points.
Teagan Perkowski fired the top score in air with a 597-53x. He was followed by another four Nanooks in the air rifle standings.
Lucie Kissenberger topped her strong day off with a 596-49x showing in air, good for second.
Noah Meierotto took third, firing an air rifle score of 595-43x.
Marshall Schmidt was the final Alaska shooter in the top five, shooting a 593-49x.
Tobias Bernhoft-Osa finished just outside the top five, placing sixth with a 590-44x.
Julianna Hays and
Matthew Stout took eighth and ninth with a 587-41x and 587-38x.
Sadie Palfrey was the final Nanooks shooter with a 581-36x.
The Nanooks shoot again tomorrow against Army and Navy in West Point, N.Y.
