Sadie Palfrey excelled both academically and athletically in 2024–25, earning a 4.0 GPA, multiple OVC honors in smallbore and air rifle, and CRCA Scholastic All-American recognition. She set a UT Martin school record in smallbore (587) and posted the program’s second and third highest air rifle scores (596, 595), while leading the team in air rifle, smallbore, and aggregate averages. Academically, she made the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, earned the OVC Academic Medal of Honor, and received highest honors on both the Chancellor’s and Athletic Director’s Honor Rolls, in addition to induction into Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society.
High School
Palfrey built an impressive precision rifle career while maintaining a 4.0 GPA as a homeschooled student. A member of the Jerome Junior Rifle Team, Allegheny Valley Rifle League, and Clymer Junior Rifle Team, she also volunteered for six years with the Indiana County Junior Marksmanship Training Unit, where she began shooting at age seven. Career highlights include the 2023 National 4-H Air Rifle Championship title, the 2023 Pennsylvania State Women’s 3-Position Smallbore Outdoor Championship, and multiple state, sectional, and national podium finishes in both air rifle and smallbore. She was part of several championship teams, including the 2024 National Junior Sectional Smallbore champions and multiple Indiana County Envirothon title teams. Outside of shooting, Palfrey is a second-degree black belt in karate and a long-time 4-H member recognized for leadership and conservation achievements.
