COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Nanooks rifle team finished third out of five teams on Sunday, Oct. 26. They fired an aggregate score of 4718 with a smallbore score of 2339 and air rifle score of 2379.

In the smallbore standings, the 'Nooks shot the third-best score with a 2339. TCU posted the top score with a 2358, followed by Georgia Southern with a 2345. Behind Alaska was Air Force with a 2317 and Schreiner with a 2133. Lucie Kissenberger posted the best smallbore score for Alaska, firing a 589-37x, good for fourth in the individual smallbore standings. Three Nanooks just missed out on the top 10 claiming places 11-13. Teagan Perkowski took 11th with a smallbore score of 585-28x. Tobias Bernhoft-Osa followed in 11th with a 585-26x. Noah Meierotto placed 13th in the smallbore standings, firing a 583-31x. 

Julianna Hays and Marshall Schmidt placed 16th and 17th, respectively with a 582-29x and 582-27x. Finally, Sadie Palfrey took 21st with a 578-33x and Matthew Stout took 24th with a 575-27x. 

In air rifle Alaska placed third in the discipline with a 2379. Georgia Southern fired a 2393 while TCU shot a 2383 to place ahead of the Nanooks. Air Rifle and Schreiner Univ. followed with a 2367 and 2269. Noah Meierotto led the way for the Nanooks, firing a 597-51x to take sixth in the air rifle standings. Teagan Perkowski made the top 10 with a 595-48x, placing ninth. Tobias Bernhoft-Osa was the third Nanooks shooter in air rifle, placing 12th with a 594-48x. Four Nanooks took 17-20th places with Marshall Schmidt leading the way for the group. Schmidt placed 17th with a 593-46x. Lucie Kissenberger followed in 18th with a 592-44x while Sadie Palfrey (19th) and Julianna Hays (20th) both fired a 592-43x. Matthew Stout was the final Nanooks shooter in the air rifle standings, placing 25th with a 589-35x. 

Two Nanooks cracked the top 10 in the individual aggregate scores. Lucie Kissenberger led the way, taking eighth with an aggregate score of 1181. Noah Meierotto followed in 10th with an aggregate score of 1180. 

Alaska shoots again Nov. 8-9 at Ole Miss and UT Martin.
