Live Targets
First of the Year
This weekend will be the Nanooks first matches of the season. Alaska returns six from last season's roster:
Tobias Bernhoft-Osa,
Lucie Kissenberger,
Teagan Perkowski,
Amanda Pettersen,
Elijah Spencer, and
Matthew Stout. They welcomed four newcomers this offseason, two freshmen and two transfers.
Noah Meierotto (Fairbanks, Alaska) and
Marshall Schmidt (Charlton, N.Y.) are the two incoming freshmen, while
Julianna Hays (Maplewood, Minn. - Ole Miss) and
Sadie Palfrey (Indiana, Pa. - UT Martin) transfer in to close out the 2025-26 roster.
New Staff
Randi Loudin takes over as the head coach of the Nanooks rifle team after six seasons as an assistant coach. Loudin first joined Alaska in 2019-20 as a graduate assistant with former head coach Layne Lewis. She then joined the staff full-time the following year as an assistant coach for Will Anti. Alongside Anti, Loudin helped lead the Nanooks back to the top, winning the 2023 National Championship. Alongside the title, Loudin assisted the Nanooks to three third-place finishes, and a fifth-place finish.
Joining Loudin on the coaching staff for 2025-26 is
Cecelia Ossi. Ossi steps right into the assistant role after finishing her collegiate career with the Nanooks in 2024-25. Before joining Alaska as a graduate-transfer, Ossi shot for Nebraska, graduating from UNL in 2024. Ossi capped off her collegiate career in style, claiming the 2025 NCAA Individual Smallbore National Championship with a finals score of 464.7. Her season was filled with highlights, including personal bests of 599 in air rifle, 597 in smallbore, and a 1196 aggregate — all set on February 1 against Kentucky. That 1196 aggregate score set a new Nanooks program record, while her 597 in smallbore tied the program record. She posted an aggregate score of 1190 or higher in six of her final seven matches and played a key role in Alaska's fourth PRC title. After graduating, Ossi added another individual title to her accolades, winning the USA Shooting National Championships in women's air rifle.
