Amy Donovan Releases Women’s Basketball’s 2024-25 Schedule

FAIRBANKS - Head coach Amy Donovan and the Alaska Nanooks women's basketball team have announced their schedule for the 2024-25 season. The Nanooks have 11 home games and 16 away/neutral site games during the upcoming regular season.

Alaska's non-conference schedule kicks off with a pair of contests at the Jessup Tournament, held by Jessup University. Their first matchup will be against Cal Poly Humboldt on Friday, Nov. 8, before they square off against the hosting Warriors the following afternoon. Alaska plays its home opener the following week, welcoming Western Colorado to the Alaska Airlines Gymnasium on Friday, Nov. 15, with a 7:30 p.m. tip-off in its opening game of the Mt. McKinley Bank North Star Invitational. It wraps up the NSI the following day with a 5:15 p.m. tip-off against Corban University. The Nanooks travel to Hawaii for a pair of contests against Chaminade University on Nov. 20 and 22 before squaring off against Hawaii Pacific on the 23rd.

As the calendar flips to December, the Nanook's begin conference action against Western Oregon at home in a 7:30 p.m. tip-off on Dec. 5. They continue GNAC play two days later when they play Saint Martin's in the Alaska Airlines Gymnasium. Alaska hits the road once more for non-conference games against Cal State East Bay and San Francisco State on Dec. 17 and 19, respectively.

After their trip to the Golden State, the 'Nooks take a two-week break, starting up again after the new year on Jan. 2 with more GNAC contests, this time traveling to Central Washington to take on the Wildcats. Alaska stays on the road when they square off against Northwest Nazarene on Jan. 4. The Nanooks return to Fairbanks for three games, beginning with a showdown against in-state rival Alaska Anchorage on Jan. 11, before wrapping up their homestand the following week with games vs. Western Washington and Simon Fraiser on Jan. 16 and 18. A pair of road games follow for the Nanooks, with trips to Montana State Billings on Jan. 23 and Seattle Pacific on Jan. 25. Alaska returns home for two games against Northwest Nazarene and Central Washington on Jan. 30 and Feb. 1. The 'Nooks head south a week later to face off against Alaska Anchorage before traveling down to Simon Fraser and Western Washington on Feb. 13 and 15. Their final two home games are set for the following week as Alaska matches up against Seattle Pacific on Feb. 20 at 5:15 p.m. and Montana State Billings on Feb. 22 at 1 p.m. The Nanooks hit the road one more time during the regular season for contests against Saint Martins (Feb. 27) and Western Oregon (Mar. 1).
