MONTEREY PARK, Calif. - The Nanooks swim team wrapped up the 2024 Pacific Collegiate Swim and Dive Conference with 527 points, good for a seventh-place finish. Day four concluded the championships on Saturday, Feb. 17 and saw the Nanooks compete in the finals for the 1650-yard freestyle, 200-yard backstroke, 200-yard breaststroke, 200-yard butterfly and 400-yard freestyle relay.
Tori Shoemaker opened up Saturday with a huge win for the Nanooks, claiming the PCSC title in the 1650-freestyle, crushing home a winning time of 17:24.28. This time earned the 'Nooks 32 team points and was the winning time by nearly three full seconds as the second-place finisher from APU followed in 17:27.07.
Payton Wojciechowicz followed with a near top-five finish, taking sixth and earning 24 points for the 'Nooks. She posted a finishing time in 17:43.49.
Kylee Carter and
Meah McCallum rounded out the finishes for the Nanooks in the 1650 as McCallum took 28th with a time of 19:24.10 and Carter followed in 29th with a time of 20:25.61.
In the 200-yard backstroke,
Charlotte Fletcher-Stables was the lone-Nanooks racer in the finals, cracking the top-10 with a 2:04.37 finals time. This finish earned 20 points for the Nanooks.
Dorka Dancsok was the top-finisher for the Nanooks in the 200-yard breaststroke, taking ninth-place with a time of 2:23.76. This finish earned 20 points for the Nanooks.
Mesa Moran had the final individual finals appearance for the Nanooks on Saturday. The senior finished 22nd-overall with a time of 2:19.52, good for three points. To wrap-up the 2024 championships, the Nanooks took seventh-place in the 400-yard freestyle relay. Fletcher-Stables,

Adeline Berry and Dancsok posted a time of 3:34.55, earning 46 points for the team. They followed the winning time of 3:26.76 by just under eight seconds.
Cal State East Bay grabbed the team win at PCSC Championships, finishing with 1201 points. Biols (1175) and Azusa Pacific (1115.5) took second and third.
