NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has recognized its 2024 NCAA Division II All-Region cross country honorees. Athletes earned the distinction of All-Region by finishing in the top 25 at one of the eight regional sites this past weekend. Three Alaska runners took home the accolade after the NCAA DII West Regionals on Saturday; Rosie Fordham, Kendall Kramer and Tabitha Williams earned the honor after their top-25 finishes in the 6k race.

Fordham's first-place finish earned her NCAA DII West Runner of the Year, the first of her career. The Nanooks have won the last three West Region Women's Athletes of the Year, with Kramer garnering the honor last season and Naomi Bailey earning the title in 2022. Fordham finished the race with the only sub-20 minute time at 19:52.68, giving her her fourth selection to the All-West Region Team. Her teammate Kramer followed right behind, finishing in 20:06.84 to give the Nanooks the 1-2 finish. This marks Kramer's fourth time finishing in the top five of the West Regional race, and she joined Fordham as a four-year All-Region finisher. Williams was the third Nanook to cross the finish line, as her 21:50.11 finishing time was good for 25th place and gave her the first All-Region selection of her collegiate career.

Alaska's three DII All-West Region women's cross country honorees were the most among GNAC schools.

The cross country season concludes on Saturday, November 23rd, with the NCAA Division II Championship held at the Arcade Creek Cross Country Course in Sacramento, Calif.
