COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Nanooks rifle team fell for the first time this season in a top-five matchup with No. 5-ranked TCU. The Horned Frogs knocked off Alaska 4743-4732. Alaska is now 3-1, 3-1 PRC on the year. 

In the individual standings, Cecelia Ossi continued her strong shooting with a second-straight top finish. She fired an aggregate score of 1189 to lead the way. TCU grabbed the next three spots before Alaska's Lucie Kissenberger took fifth with an aggregate score of 1181. Amanda Pettersen followed in seventh with a score of 1179 and Rachael Charles and Elli Spencer rounded out the top-10 appearances for the Nanooks with scores of 1178 and 1177, respectively. 

The smallbore discipline saw TCU outshoot Alaska 2352-2348. Despite this, Ossi fired the high score on the day with an impressive 593 39x. Charles cracked the top-five in smallbore, firing a 588. Kissenberger followed in seventh with a 585. Pettersen and Spencer followed in ninth and 10th, respectively with scores of 582 each. Matthew Stout was the final Nanooks shooter in smallbore, posting a 577. In air rifle, Amanda Pettersen led the way for Alaska, firing a 597 and taking fourth in the air rifle standings. Ossi followed in sixth with a 596 and Kissenberger followed right behind in seventh with a 596 of her own. Elli Spencer posted a 595, good for ninth while Stout posted a 593 and 10th-place finish in the air standings. Charles rounded out the shooters for the Nanooks with a 590. 

What's to Come
The Nanooks are off for the next week before heading to South Carolina and Georgia on Nov. 21-22. They'll open their final road trip of 2024 at The Citadel on Nov. 21 before going to Georgia Southern on Nov. 22.
