ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The Nanooks cross country teams participated in the Lewis Crossover in Illinois on Saturday. The men's team raced in the open race while the women's team raced in the championship race. The women's team came out in fifth-place with 200 points while the men finished sixth with 176 points.
In the women's race, the Nanooks were led by
Kendall Kramer and
Rosie Fordham. Kramer finished second with a 20:54.40 finishing time. She trailed only Jenna Ramsey-Rutledge of Colorado School of Mines (20:43.20). Kramer posted a pace of 5:38/m. Fordham followed right behind, taking fourth with a time of 21:05.20 with a pace of 5:41/m.
Katharine Brigham was the third Nanooks racer to cross the finish line, taking 54th. She finished the race in 22:18.70 with a 6:01/m pace.
Tabitha Williams took 70th and
Lucca Duke took 78th as the final top-100 finisher.
Teegan Silva (236th),
Riga Grubis (244th),
Madison Schuh (287th) and
Hazel Probst (301st) rounded out the finishing for the Nanooks.
On the men's side,
Ben Dohlby posted a top-10 finish, finishing ninth with a time of 25:51.30. He posted a pace time of 5:12/m. Benjamin Browning following in 23rd with a time of 26:19.30 in the 8k race.
Finn Morley was the third finisher for Alaska, taking 48th with a time of 26:53.90 (5:25/m pace).
Koen Ross (65th) and
Blake Hanley (71st) were the final two Nanooks to finish in the top-75.
Derk Lyford finished 82nd,
Clem Taylor-Roth posted an 87th-place finish and
Jace Peters rounded out the Nanooks men's racers with a 90th-place finish.
The Nanooks compete next in two weeks at the GNAC Championships on Oct. 26 in Bellingham, Wash.
