FAIRBANKS - Dorka Dancsok earned her third Pacific Collegiate Swim and Dive Conference weekly award on Wednesday, Dec. 6 after being named the PCSC Female Swimmer of the Week.
Her previous two honors were PCSC Freshman of the Week awards. She earned this in back-to-back weeks on Oct. 24 and Oct. 31.
She had an incredible showing at the Nanooks' mid-season meet at the Logger Invitational in Tacoma, Wash. this past weekend. Individually, Dancsok placed first in all four of her events. In the 200-yard IM, she swam a 2:04.12 winning time, good for an NCAA B Cut time, a first-place time in the conference and the 15th-best time in NCAA DII swimming. In the 400-yard IM, she won with a time of 4:25.75, earning yet another NCAA B Cut, another first-place time in the conference and the 13th-best time in the NCAA DII. She was victorious in the 100-yard breaststroke, posting a time of 1:04.63, good for first in the PCSC and another top-30 appearance in the NCAA DII individual timing. In her final individual event, she swam in the 200-yard breaststroke, winning the event with a 2:21.73 and posting the second-best time in the conference and cracking the top-35 in the country.
Dancsok also raced in five relays, helping them finish second in all. In the 200-yard freestyle, she posted a 23.90 split time. In the 400-yard medley, she posted a 1:03.59 (BR) split while posting a 28.88 (BR) split in the 200-yard medley relay. In the 800-yard freestyle she had a 1:55.80 split and finally, in the 400-yard freestyle relay she had a split time of 52.18. The 400-yard medley relay team is now ranked second in the PCSC while the 200-yard medley relay team is ranked third.
