Prior to Alaska

Lathrop High School/Miami Dade College
Attended and played at Lathrop High School in Fairbanks before going to Miami Dade College for two seasons. While at Lathrop, Martin was a two-time regional champion and MVP. During her senior season, she averaged 25.0 points and 15.0 rebounds per game, earning her a First Team All-State honor. She is a member of the 1,000-point club at Lathrop. 

At Miami Dade she made the Dean's List both her freshman and sophomore year.

Daughter of Melonet and William Martin ... One sibling; Malachi ... Her dad played basketball for the Nanooks in 1999-00 and her brother currently plays basketball at Sterling College ... She is studying Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
