2009-2010: Played 31 games...First assist of the season on Oct. 16 against Robert Morris...First goal of the season and an assist on Feb. 20 against LSSU... Added three points (2 goals, 1 assist) to the Governor Cup series win...Had 9 games with at least one point, 2 being multi-point games.

2008-09: Played in 37 games...third on team in assists (10)...fifth on team in points (14) and plus/minus (6)...contributed an assist in the Bowling Green game on Oct. 25... assist against Mercyhurst College on Oct. 17...2 assists against UConn. on Oct. 11...scored 2 goals against North Eastern on Oct. 10...scored 2 goals against Northeastern in the Kendall Classic, where he made all-tournament team...2 assists in a 4-0 win against USNTDP U-18...2 goals for gold in the Blue and Gold game (one being a shootout goal).

Prior to Alaska: Played one season and served as assistant captain for the Drumheller Dragons of the Alberta Junior Hockey League...in 60 games, Knelsen scored 16 goals, added 37 assists for 53 points and was +12 with just 16 penalty minutes...played two seasons for the Red Deer Optimist Rebels of the Alberta Midget Hockey League where he totaled nine goals and 26 assists for 35 points with 54 penalty minutes in 35 games during the 2004-05 season, and was alternate captain for the South Team at the AMHL All-Star Game...during 2003-04 season he scored nine goals and 20 assists for 29 points with just six penalty minutes in 35 regular season games, and added one goal and four assists in eight playoff games.
