FAIRBANKS - The Alaska Nanooks men's basketball program has announced another signing in Nick Clark. Clark is a 6-3 guard from Orem, Utah, and joins the Nanooks after spending the previous two seasons at Salt Lake Community College of the Scenic West Athletic Conference.
"Nick is a wonderful addition to our program," said head coach Frank Ostanik. "Nick's feel for the game and understanding of how to play, combined with his level of skill, make him unique. He has the rare ability to make others better and play on and off the ball. The fact that he has three years left to play is especially exciting."
Clark redshirted during his first season with the Bruins before appearing in 22 games in 2025-26. He made seven starts for SLCC, averaging eight points per game on 43.4% shooting and a 31.4% three-point percentage, while also posting 3.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game. He reached double figures in scoring eight times, including a stretch from Nov. 22 to Dec. 18 during which he reached that mark in five of six games. His season was highlighted by a career-best 21 points on Jan. 29 at Colorado Northwestern Community College, in which he shot an efficient 8-9 from the field and 4-5 from beyond the arc. He also grabbed five rebounds and dished a pair of assists in an 87-76 win.
"Nick will bring a high level of maturity and add to the quality leadership we already have in our locker room," added Ostanik. "As happy as I am for Nick to join our team, I am equally excited for the impact he and his wife Capri will have on the greater Fairbanks Community."
As a senior at Orem High School in Orem, Utah, Clark averaged 13.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, while his eight assists per game ranked third in the state. He was named Utah Valley Boys Basketball Defensive MVP, Deseret News 5A Second Team All-State and Class 5A Region 8 First Team in his senior season.
Clark is the second announced signing for the 2026-27 season. Additional signings will follow throughout the coming months.
