MIDWAY, Utah – The Nanooks Nordic skiing team is set for the RMISA Championships this weekend at Soldier Hollow Nordic Center in Midway, Utah. The races, which were originally set to take place at Crosscut Mountain Sports Center in Montana, were moved to Soldier Hollow due to poor snow conditions.
The 'Nooks will ski in the 7.5k classic interval start races on Friday, and the 20k freestyle mass start races on Saturday.

The Nanooks wrapped up their regular season at the Colorado Invitational on Feb. 13-14, skiing in the 20k freestyle and 7.5k classic races at Howelsen Hill in Steamboat Springs, Colo. The 'Nooks recorded 175 points at the invitational, with men ending the weekend in third with 142 points and the women finishing sixth with 33 points.
The 'Nooks picked up 97 points in the freestyle, as the men ended the day in second with 79 points and the women took sixth with 18 points. Alaska had three skiers finish in the top-10, with Philipp Moosmayer leading the way with a fourth-place result. The junior finished right outside the podium spots after completing his race in 57:27.6. Matyas Pavek and Blake Hanley continued their strong sophomore campaigns, finishing seventh and eighth, respectively, with times of 57:55.1 and 57:58.4. The women had just one skier finish in the 20k freestyle, as Viktorie Kahounova crossed the line in 1:17:08.1 to grab 17th.
Moosmayer added another fourth-place finish in the classic, skiing to a time of 21:21.4, while the women once again had just one skier in the race. This time, Kolibri Drobish finished in 26th place after posting a 27:14.0.

The Nanooks enter the weekend sixth in the RMISA Nordic standings, having accumulated 846 points this season. The men's team has accounted for 534 points, which puts them in a tie for fourth with Montana State and three points behind Denver in third, while the women are in sixth with 312 points. What's to Come
