MARTIN, Tenn. - The Nanooks rifle team picked up another head-to-head victory on Sunday, Nov. 9. Alaska shot their way past the UT Martin Skyhawks in Tennessee to move to 4-0, 3-0 PRC on the season. 

The Nanooks outshot the Skyhawks in both smallbore and air rifle to grab the aggregate victory. In the smallbore discipline, the Nanooks posted a score of 2336 to UT Martin's 2293. Amanda Pettersen led the way for the Nanooks posting a 586-39x for the top smallbore individual score. Julianna Hays followed in second, firing a 585-30x. Marshall Schmidt took third, firing a 584-44x, the most centers in smallbore today. Teagan Perkowski matched Schmidt with a 584-34x, taking fourth. Noah Meierotto rounded out the top-five finishes for Alaska, firing a 582-34x. 

Tobias Bernhoft-Osa placed sixth with a 581-34x, and Lucie Kissenberger placed eighth with a 576-27x. 

In air rifle, Alaska took the top seven spots with Tobias Bernhoft-Osa leading the way with a 595-50x. Teagan Perkowski followed in second with a 595-47x, and Lucie Kissenberger placed third with a 595-46x. Noah Meierotto fired a 593-50x to place fourth in air rifle. Amanda Pettersen finished fifth after shooting a 593-42x. Marshall Schmidt and Julianna Hays were the final Nanooks in air, taking sixth and seventh with scores of 593-41x and 590-35x, respectively. 

All seven Nanooks made the individual top 10 with Teagan Perkowski leading the way. He claimed the top spot with an aggregate score of 1179-81x. Amanda Pettersen followed in second place overall with an aggregate score of 1179-81x as well. Marshall Schmidt claimed third, firing an aggregate score of 1177-85x. Tobias Bernhoft-Osa took fourth in the individual standings with an aggregate score of 1176-84x and Noah Meierotto took fifth with an 1175-84x. Julianna Hays and Lucie Kissenberger rounded out the 'Nooks individual scoring with an 1175-65x and 1171-73x. 

The Nanooks are back in action Nov. 22-23 at Army.
