FAIRBANKS - Today is the last day to sign up for the Alaska Nanooks All-Women's Hockey Camp. The camp is open to all female participants over the age of 18. For the three-day camp held August 21 to 23, attendees will hit the ice with current and former Nanooks hockey coaches and players. Registration for the camp is due tonight, August 20, by 9:59 p.m. AKST. The registration link can be found here.
Camp attendees will learn skills and fundamentals through training techniques utilized by Division I and NHL athletes. More information about the camp can be found below.

Time:
- 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. on ice
- 6:30 p.m. - 7:15 p.m. off-ice discussion & Q/A
- 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on ice (Friday)
- 7:00 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. off-ice discussion & Q/A (Friday)
Cost: $185 ($175 + $10 Fee)
Details:
- Develop skills and fundamentals under the supervision of current and past Alaska Nanook players and coaches.
- Improve: skating, puck handling, passing, confidence.
- Use new state-of-the-art Edgeboss apparatuses designed to improve puck control. These are the same techniques that NHL teams, along with the Alaska Nanooks, use to get ready for the upcoming season.
What To Bring:
- Full hockey gear (sticks, helmets, shoulder pads, elbow pads, pants, shin pads, skates, gloves, mouthguard, socks, under gear apparel)
- Water bottle
- A positive attitude!
