FAIRBANKS - The Alaska Nanooks invite you to celebrate the return of the athletics season with their second annual Food Truck Rally on Saturday, September 14 at the Patty Center parking lot. We will have a food truck lineup from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

10% of the proceeds will return to the Alaska Nanooks volleyball program. 

The Food Truck Rally coincides with the last three games of the Denali State Bank Ice Block Classic. The first game is slated for an 11:00 a.m. start with a 2:30 p.m. game to follow. Your Alaska Nanooks will end the night with UNC Pembroke at 7:00 p.m.

Game admission is free with food truck purchases. The first 100 fans at the Nanooks game will get a limited edition Alaska Nanooks bucket hat. 

Leading up to the Nanooks game, the Nanooks rifle team will be hosting a top shot competition in the E.F. Horton Rifle Range in the Patty Center from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. It's $10 for 10 shots and the best scorer of the day will win a Nanook rifle swag bag; the winner will be announced at the volleyball game at 7:00 p.m. You do not have to be present to win. All proceeds will support Alaska rifle in their upcoming 2024-25 season. Do not miss your chance to shoot as part of the NCAA champion team! 

The Nanooks women's basketball team will be hosting a 3v3 tournament in the Student Recreation Center, right next door to the food truck rally. From 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., teams can compete in open or competitive divisions, with a four-game guarantee.

The Nanooks men's basketball team will have a skills clinic for grades K-2 from 2-3:00 p.m. and then again for grades 3-5 from 3:15-5:30 p.m.
