Rigaudo Signs with Nanooks Ski from Roccavione, Italy

FAIRBANKS - The Nanooks Nordic ski team has announced the signing of 6'0" Gabriele Rigaudo. Rigaudo hails from Roccavione, Italy. 

He joins the Nanooks after racing for the Alpi Marittime Ski Team while attending Liceo Scientifico Cuneo. Before signing with the Nanooks, Rigaudo found national and international success, winning three medals at the Italian Championships as a U20, including one gold medal. While competing at the same competition as a U18, he picked up four medals. He made the National Junior Team and participated at the Junior World Championships last year and finally, represented Italy at the FESA Cup (Alpen Cup). 

Gabriele Rigaudo is the son of Ilvano Rigauo and Rosella Viglietti. He has one sibling; Alberto. His aunt, Elisa Rigaudo, was a professional racewalker, appearing in four straight Olympics (2004-2016) and won bronze in 2008. 

When at UAF, he intends to study Biological Sciences.
