FAIRBANKS - The Alaska Nanooks cross country and Nordic ski team is excited to welcome Jace Peters to Fairbanks starting this fall. Peters hails from Leadville, Colo. and will run and ski in the blue and gold.

"Jace is a force of nature." Said assistant Nordic ski coach Ben Buck, "He has the potential to make an instant impact on the results sheet for the men's cross country team this fall, and coming to us from the highest-altitude city in the country, he's ready-made for the RMISA ski circuit. He's a hard worker, and he's certainly earned his spot on our roster. I look forward to seeing what he can accomplish as a Nanook."

Peters was the Tri-Peaks League MVP in cross country during the 2021 and 2022 seasons and was the Track & Field MVP in the 2022 and 2023 seasons. He found success at the 2A Colorado Track & Field with 10 top-nine finishes and also found top-10 success at the Colorado Cross Country State Championships, placing seventh and second over the last two seasons.

In ski, Peters was the 2023 Colorado Classic Cross Country Skiing state champion.
