Nanooks Volleyball Adds Rossnagel as Graduate-Transfer for 2023 Season

FAIRBANKS - The Alaska Nanooks volleyball team has announced another signing for their upcoming 2023 season. Reese Rossnagel will officially join the 'Nooks last season, coming from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside as a graduate-transfer.

"Reese will be a great addition to our team." Said head coach Brian Scott, "She has a proven track record competing at the Division II level, scoring 3.46 kills per set and 388 total kills last season. Reese is a very athletic outside hitter that will force our group to grow and compete at a high level. We can't wait to see what she can accomplish as a Nanook!" Rossnagel, 6-2 OH from Las Vegas, Nev. will be working towards her Masters of Business Administration at UAF in 2023.

While at Parkside, Rossnagel collected plenty of athletic accomplishments as well as academic accomplishments. Academically, Rossnagel was named to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) All-Academic Excellence Team from 2020-22. She also earned Dean's and Provost's List all semesters. On the court, Rossnagel was a 2021 and 2022 Second Team All-GLIAC selection. She reached over 1,000 career kills and broke the UW-Parkside school record for single-game kills, posting 31 in a game. She finished the 2022 regular-season with the third-most kills in the GLIAC.

Before Parkside, Rossnagel attended Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. She was a First Team All-Region selection and was a 2016, 2018 state champion, while finishing runner-up in 2017.

Rossnagel is the daughter of Lisa and Tom Rossnagel. Lisa, her mom, played volleyball at Drake University. She has one sibling, Lindsey.
