Additional Information Announced for Upcoming 2023 Great Lakes Invitational

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Additional information has been released for the upcoming 2023 Great Lakes Invitational. Your Alaska Nanooks hockey team is set to participate in their first GLI and will take on Michigan Tech on Dec. 28 at Van Andel Arena. 

The Nanooks and Huskies are slated for their third matchup of the season after the two faced-off in the second week of the regular-season. The Nanooks grabbed a win and a tie in Houghton, Mich., setting up for round three of the season matchup. The two sides kick-off the GLI as they are game one of the four-game invitational. Puck-drop has been announced as 11:30 a.m. AKST/3:30 p.m. EST. The loser of the Alaska/MTU game will play the next day, Dec. 29, in the GLI Third Place Game at 11:30 a.m. AKST/3:30 p.m. EST while the winner will play for the GLI Championship at 3:00 p.m. ASKT/7:00 p.m. EST. The other side of the bracket features the Bulldogs of Ferris State (CCHA) and the Spartans of Michigan State (Big Ten).

Tickets are available for purchase at Ticketmaster (CLICK HERE) and in person at Van Andel Arena, DeVos Place, and DeVos Performance Hall Box Office. Ticket pricing is based on a per-day basis and will be distributed on a mobile device. On-glass tickets are $75, with lower bowl sections for $50 and $40, and student tickets at $15.50. Upper-level tickets are $30. Ticket pricing is subject to change and additional fees may apply. 

On December 29, there will be a Championship Day Open Skate at the Rosa Parks Circle, located at 135 Monroe Center St NW in Grand Rapids, Mich. This event will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. EST and is about five from Van Andel Arena. There will be mascots and GLI swag giveaways taking place.
