Hockey Announces Cancellation of Simon Fraser Exhibition; Two Blue/Gold Games to Take Place at Carlson

FAIRBANKS – Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Alaska Nanook hockey team has announced that their exhibition game against Simon Fraser (B.C.) has officially been cancelled. 
 
Originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 25, the Nanooks will now host back-to-back Blue/Gold games. On Friday, Sept. 24, the Nanooks will host a two-intermission intrasquad scrimmage with on-ice festivities including; fastest skater, hardest shot and local youth teams playing during the intermissions. On the second night, the Nanooks will play another intrasquad scrimmage with more on-ice competitions between the intermissions. 
 
Both Blue/Gold games will be played at the Carlson Center with puck-drop scheduled for 7:07 p.m.

Single-game tickets will be available soon. The Alaska Nanooks are moving towards becoming a cashless ticketing service, all tickets to future events will be card only or pre-purchased online.
