FAIRBANKS, Alaska – The Alaska Nanooks Nordic ski team had six athletes named to the RMISA All-Academic squad in 2020-21.
Rya Berrigan,
Kendall Kramer,
Lukash Platil,
Mariel Pulles,
Catherine Reed-Metayer and
Sage Robine were all selected. Berrigan, a senior from Palmer, Alaska is studying Biological Sciences and posted a 4.0 GPA last semester. Kramer, a freshman from Fairbanks, Alaska, enters the year with a 4.0 GPA as well in her pursuit for a Psychology degree.
Platil, the lone member of the Nanook men's Nordic ski team selected, earned a 4.0 GPA in the previous semester, as he looks to graduate with a Biological Sciences degree.
Reed-Metayer and Robine ended the string of nominated athletes for Alaska, both with 4.0's, as Reed-Metayer studies for a Psychology degree and Robine studies in Biological Sciences.
The Nanooks wrapped-up their season at the NCAA Skiing Championships on Saturday, Mar. 13, 2021 with a 10th place overall finish, their best since 2014 when they again finished 10th.
